Showering an Elephant - the State Animal of Kerala
With my Ayurvedic treatments winding up here, I had some time the last two days to explore the area. Nearby to where I am staying is an elephant rehab center. There are about 6 elephants there currently who have health or other concerns.
Kerala is one of the only places left in Asia that has some remaining wild elephants. Asian elephants live in the lush jungles of Kerala and are rarely seen unless they need water and then they come out to a river.

This elephant was "on duty" distributing grass to her fellow elephants.

How to shower an elephant : Step one
bring him/her under a specially made shower.
Step Two : Use a hose for those hard to reach areas
Step Three : Enjoy a drink from a friend
Step Four : Have a little fun when it is all over!
