Lord Buddha's Eyes on the City

Since I am learning Tibetan Sacred Art, I have been also enjoying visits to some Buddhist monasteries here in Pokhara where there are ample examples of this style of art.

This beautiful Golden Buddha towers above the city, nestled in the hills.

It is part of the Pema Dechenling Monastery. My Thanka Art Studio and School is affiliated with this monastery

The artistic symbolism is  very meaningful to me now that  I am painting sacred art myself. 

I am happy that I have discovered this peaceful haven yesterday above the city and I will be visiting more often for meditation and reflection.
