Spirit of Sharing in Kausani Village

Yesterday I did a little shopping in the small village of Kausani. There are a handful of shops there. The shops are usually no bigger than a small room 10' x 10'. Each shop has a speciality : fruits, dry goods, small electronics, etc. There is one ATM that may or may not be stocked with currency - hit or miss. When the truck comes to stock it - it is a major village event.

One thing that I noticed yesterday was that each shop had several nesting birds as guests.

Since the shops don't have a door , the birds have made themselves at home and it must be currently baby season. It is quite sweet to see the birds zooming in and out and to hear the sweet chirping of babies.

In the USA, this would be considered unhygienic but here the shopkeepers even help the birds out by clearing some space for the nests. This is one of the larger shops and its avian residents. This nest has about 6 babies.
